As many of you will now know, the GMCA has been building the Careers and Enterprise Company’s Adviser Network over the last few months and we are delighted to say that it is gaining momentum with some fantastic plans already in place.

There are now 12 school and colleges matched with volunteers from a wide variety of businesses, including Capgemini, Balfour Beatty, The White Room, Carillion, Lloyds, A. Connolly Ltd. and Think Money. Further matches will be confirmed in the coming weeks. Enterprise Advisers provide strategic support and guidance to a school’s senior leadership team. Currently our Enterprise Advisers are supporting schools to build a strategy for a potential Multi Academy Trust development; putting together a series of employer led networking lunches for students; talks from current apprentices and creating a series of parental engagement projects.

We will regularly update with news of what is happening within the Network and how you can get involved.

We currently have our full complement of schools however please stay in touch as we are hoping to recruit further schools in the New Year. If you are a business and would like to find out more about the Network please do take a look at our Employer section (Link) or contact Sophie Hope, sophie.hope@neweconomymanchester.com.
