As Bridge GM grows and gains momentum, we’re delighted to welcome 3 new Enterprise Coordinators to the Bridge GM team. Each Enterprise Coordinator will support schools and colleges to develop strong relationship with the business community in order to implement the Gatsby Benchmarks for good CEIAG. The most important relationship being between the school’s Senior Leadership Team and their Enterprise Adviser, a senior business volunteer who helps develop a relevant and robust careers strategy for the school.

Welcome to Louis Garbutt

Hi my name is Louis and I’ll be supporting Bridge and managing the Enterprise Adviser Network across both Trafford and Stockport.

To give you a sense of my background, I started my career at Teesside University working in their graduate enterprise team, delivering enterprise activities across the university and supporting graduates to start their own business. This role then grew into delivering a social enterprise project across the North East working in partnership with the five major Universities up there. Following this I began working directly for the funders of that project, UnLtd - the foundation for social entrepreneurs. I had a great few years working in social enterprise and supporting budding social entrepreneurs across the North of England before I then left to manage a youth volunteering programme for the British Red Cross. More recently, I managed a small team engaging employers on behalf of FE colleges, delivering a pilot project across Greater Manchester, testing the work placement aspect of the incoming T-Levels. I'm really excited to be a part of the Bridge team here in Greater Manchester and I welcome any contact from any schools, colleges or businesses that want to get involved in the Bridge movement across Trafford and Stockport.

Welcome to Bronwyn Raper

Hello I’m Bronwyn and I am managing the Enterprise Adviser Network across Rochdale & Tameside!

After leaving University I knew that I wanted to work in the Public Sector and started my career after being accepted on the National Graduate Development Scheme at Oldham Council. I had a fab few years working at the Council within a variety of different roles from working in Public Health to project managing a programme to reduce fly-tipping. Latterly, I was working in the Business Growth and Investment team where I delivered the Council’s Account Management system and worked with local businesses to help them access the support they needed to grow. Part of this work involved engaging with businesses to employ local people through jobs, apprenticeships, traineeships etc. It was through this that I became interested in the skills & careers agenda, so outside work I started to volunteer as a mentor to a young person which I still really enjoy! I am really excited to be working in BridgeGM and looking forward to building the Enterprise Adviser Network across Rochdale and Tameside working in partnership with schools, colleges and businesses. If you want to find out more and get involved please get in contact.

Welcome to Emma Bailie

Hi I’m Emma and I’m building the Enterprise Adviser Network across Wigan.

I’m delighted to join this dynamic team and bring diverse knowledge and experience from my previous roles. I’m a qualified Broadcast Journalist with many years of experience in radio, particularly social action broadcasting in the Bauer Media Group. I then moved into charity fundraising and third sector management and my last position was with Royal Voluntary Service as National Direct Marketing and Community Fundraising Manager. I’ve also worked as Marketing and PR Adviser for Lancashire IAG services. I bring six years strategic experience in my own retail and hospitality businesses, so bring a business owner’s perspective to the Enterprise Coordinator role. If you’re a business in Wigan who wants to support a local school or college, please get in touch.
